About

Ana Kovačević was born in 1988 in Belgrade, where she graduated with the highest mark. She completed Bachelor, Master, Specialization degree at the Belgrade Academy of Music. At this moment, she is finishing her Doctorate degree in music under professor Jokuthon Mihailović. Ana finished Elementary music school “Vladimir Đorđević” under professor Jelena Filotić and High music school “Josip Slavenski” under professor Olga Bauer, also intesively collaborating with professor Aleksandar Bauer. During her education she has been attending master classes of prominent professors and pianists – Michael Udhe, Aleksandar Sinchuk, Evgeny Starodubtsev, Lovre Marušić and Natalia Trull.

Ana has taken part in various national and international competitions and she has won many prizes:

Laureate – IV Slobomir International Music Competition (2015), second prize – International Competition “Dimitar Nenov” (2011), first prize – Slobomir International Music Competition – discipline Piano duo. As a student in high and elementary school she also won many prizes – first prize III Memorial “Dr Vojislav Vučković“, first prize on Promenade of piano talents, first prize on Republic competition of Serbia, Laureate on International Festival of Young Pianists Art studio Šabac (2003) etc.

Ana gives performances as a soloist and chamber musician regularly. She has played in all important halls in Belgrade (The Belgrade City Assembly, gallery of The Serbian Academy of Sciences and Art, and also several times in Kolarac Concert Hall (gallery and big hall), Cultural Center of Belgrade, Central House of the Army of Serbia, Russian Center of Science and Culture etc.). She has played the premiere of the Dejan Despić’s Concertino for piano and orchestra with Art Ensemble “Stanislav Binički” and maestro Rade Pejčić conducting. Also, she gave performance of the Liszt Piano Concerto No.1 with the same orchestra and maestro Draško Janković. She performed as a guest at the Closing ceremony of the famous Piano competition Maria Canals in Barcelona, also played in Theatre in Arsoli (Italy) and in Razgrad (Bulgaria) with Razgrad philharmonic orchestra.

Ana took part in multimedial musical projects in domain of modern classical music: Silence or Nothing, The man with an umbrella, Imaginary Landscapes of John Cage and Middle of Wednesday.

Ana works as a piano professor in Music school “Davorin Jenko” and she is also accompanist at the string department since 2012. Her students are very successful and also perform regularly and won many prizes. Ana has highly acclaimed collaboration as accompanist with violin students.
